Wayne Olson elected in Ward One by-election

The official results of the Ward One by-election are in, and Wayne Olson will serve as Ward One's Councillor for the remainder of the term. Olson, receiving the most votes, becomes Pelham’s newest Councillor once certified by the Clerk.
Olson received a total of 681 of the 1,177 votes cast, for 58 per cent of the vote. Twenty votes were cast using the on-demand special ballot.

Sanitary sewer flushing and CCTV works will begin in Pelham on September 15 and will be completed by approximately October 23, 2020. Flusher and camera trucks will be in various locations throughout the Town as they complete the work.

A note to Town of Pelham water hauling customers, the water filling station will be unavailable Wednesday, September 16, from 8-11 a.m. for maintenance.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry rabies bait drop

Some residents have reported finding rabies vaccine baits distributed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. The Ministry, not the Town, distributes rabies vaccine baits for wildlife throughout southern Ontario by aircraft in rural areas and by hand in urban centres. Baits are provided to immunize most raccoons, skunks and foxes.
