The Pelham Street reconstruction project includes the reconstruction of Pelham Street between College Street and Port Robinson Road. It will include a new storm drainage system to improve drainage and mitigate flooding concerns for Pelham Street, as well as for College and Emmett Streets.

The project's limits will be from College Street to just north of the Port Robinson Road intersection.

The work is part of the Pelham Street Reconstruction Project, to be completed over the next four years.

The project is to be completed in four phases.

The Town has received a grant from the ICIP Rural and Northern Stream for $4.2M. 

Construction is scheduled to begin on October 30, 2020, and will be completed in by May, 2021, weather permitting. The original date for construction beginning was Nov. 9 (read the update). It is anticipated that the project will be substantially complete, including base asphalt, by December of 2020, and complete the restoration works, including landscaping and top asphalt, in the spring of 2021.

This contract will be carried out for the Town by Rankin Construction Inc. The contract administrator for the project who will also carry out full time project inspection on behalf of the Town is Associated Engineering.
