Summer Chill Eats

Summer Chill Eats is a culinary market that highlights Pelham's local establishments, hosted in Peace Park on Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.!  

Priority is providing safe experiences for Pelham Residents. Offerings will change based on pandemic restrictions and the provincial re-opening framework on an ongoing basis, check in for regular updates.

Come enjoy Summer Chill Eats with us in Peace Park on Thursdays. Limited reservations for picnic tables are available between 4pm - 9pm. Picnic table reservations are available to those who have purchased a meal or beverage from the participating Summer Chill Eats Vendors.  

 When will reservations open for each Thursday?

The picnic table reservation form will be open weekly the Sunday before the Thursday event at Noon until the event Thursday at Noon each week.

For example:
Event Date: Thursday July 8, 2021, 4pm - 9pm
Reservations Open: Sunday July 4 at Noon
Reservations Close: Thursday July 8 at Noon OR when the reservation limit has been met 

 What Time Frames can I reserve?
The available time slots are as follows, please respect the end time of your reservation as we want to be able to allow for others to enjoy the event:
4:00PM - 5:30PM
4:45PM - 6:15PM
5:45PM - 7:15PM
6:30PM - 8:00PM
7:30PM - 9:00PM
 What does Section 22 Order mean?
The Niagara region has imposed the Section 22 Order which requires diners to sit maximum 4 people per table, which are from the same household or have an additional person who is essential to the parties physical and mental health such as a caregiver. Patrons will be asked to confirm this in their reservation along with the hostess on site.
 What to expect when you arrive for your reservation:
Upon arrival for your time slot, you will head to the tent with the green "enter" flag set up in peace park:
  • Please line up with appropriate social distancing.
  • Please make sure you have a face covering on prior to your arrival at the entrance.
  • By-law/ Security will be on site to check ID and confirm there is no outside alcohol being brought in, as it is a licensed area where alcoholic beverages will be served.
  • A staff member will be there to check your reservation confirmation ticket, go over COVID-19 screening questions, they will provide hand sanitizer and confirm you are from the same household or are essential to the physical and mental wellbeing of the persons in the party.
 What's Available?
Similar to Thursday nights in the past, we will have 3 food vendors, One local brewery, One local Winery and One local cidery for you to purchase items from. A full listing of vendors will be updated on the website at www.pelham.ca/summerchill. 
 Can I just show up?
We are encouraging residents to reserve a picnic table if you'd like to sit and enjoy your meal, a beverage and live music in peace park. However if there are spaces available we will try to accommodate. If not, you are still welcome to order food for take out.

Parking is available in the municipal lot at Pelham Town hall, 20 Pelham Town square Fonthill.

10 minute bike ride from the Pelham Arena
15 minute bike ride from downtown Ridgeville

Walk to Peace Park: 

5 minute walk from Glynn A. Green School (1353 Pelham Street)
5 minute walk from Marlene Stewart Streit Park (55 Park Lane)
10 minute walk from Fonthill United Church (42 Church Hill)
15 minute walk from Fonthill Legion/Briggsy’s/Star Tile
20 minute walk along the Steve Bauer Trail from Line Avenue

1) Please read through the following Policies and resources prior to applying. The 2021 Summer Chill Eats season will run Thursdays from July 8 - September 2.

2) Submit the online Application Form by Friday, June 11.

3) Applications will be reviewed and approved beginning of June and written notice will be given to those vendors who have been selected by June 18.

4) Payment will be due once you have been accepted to attend Summer Chill Eats.

Share your talent! We are looking for Niagara musicians to participate in the Summer Chill Entertainment from July 8 - September 2, 2021, held weekly from 5 - 9 p.m.  All COVID-19 precautions as per Niagara Region Public Health will be in place. Applications must be submitted before 12pm noon on June 11, 2021, to be considered.
