This program allows eligible local businesses to establish temporary outdoor patios and seating areas on municipal or private property (if current zoning is compliant) subject to receipt of a Temporary Outdoor Patio Permit.

Update

Beginning January 1, 2023, a new approval framework came into effect requiring municipal approval for the extension of temporary outdoor physical extensions (temporary patios). For more information, please visit the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario's website.

A Town of Pelham Temporary Outdoor Patio Permit acts as municipal approval and may be provided to the AGCO for the purpose of obtaining a liquor licence extension. 

Apply for a Temporary Outdoor Patio Permit
    1. Review the Criteria for Temporary Outdoor Patios on Municipal or Private Property.
    2. Complete the Application For Temporary Outdoor Patio.
    3. Provide a detailed site plan of the proposed patio (see section 9.1.3 for details)
    4. Provide the applicable application fee, as prescribed in the Town's Fees and Charges By-law.

Temporary Outdoor Patio Permit - Private Property $0

Completed applications shall be submitted to the Legislative and Committee Coordinator.

Applications for a Temporary Outdoor Patio on Municipal or Private Property will be reviewed by applicable Town departments and commenting agencies prior to approval.
