Town of Pelham - YOUth Matter
The mission of the Town of Pelham's Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is to provide a communication link between the youth of Pelham and the Pelham Town Council. The needs of the youth may be addressed and action can be taken to enrich the quality of life, health and well-being of youth in our community.
MYAC's Objectives:
- To identify and bring forward issues which will have an impact on Pelham youth.
- To keep Town Council informed of important matters affecting youth.
- To act as a positive advocate for youth.
- To promote positive meaningful activities for youth in partnership with the Community.
- To actively seek input from youth on important matters.
- To provide leadership experience for youth.

Current Projects
MYAC Art Gala |
MYAC welcomed art from youth across Pelham into the Meridian Community Centre from May 6th to June 6th. This project allowed youth recognition of their art pieces, and allows a space for youth to be featured and recognized within the community. |
Becoming a MYAC Member
Applications to become a member of MYAC for the 2022/2023 term is now open! Please click here and complete the application. Applications are open for youth grades 6-12 who live or go to school in Pelham. Applications will be open until August 5, 2022, and all successful applicants will be contacted before the start of the school year.

When Do We Meet?
MYAC meets regularly on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 4:15 p.m. from September through to June. Meetings may be subject to change due to conflict with school or holiday schedules.
