On Wednesday June 1, Town of Pelham Mayor Marvin Junkin on behalf of the Town, received a “boot” full of funds from the Fonthill Volunteer Firefighters Association. The Associations annual boot drive took place April 30th after a two-year pandemic related hiatus in key locations throughout Pelham. The fund-raising tradition began to support the community through various initiatives, one being the Canada Day fireworks on July 1 in Harold Black Park. This year though the generous donations from the community a total of $2500 was provided to support the Canada Day fireworks.
“The Town is very appreciative of the community spirit and dedication of the volunteer firefighters in Pelham, they are always there to assist the community. Thank you for helping to make the 2022 Canada Day fireworks celebrations in Pelham happen again this year.” Mayor Marvin Junkin
