Meridian Community Centre operations expand to include walking track, increased capacity

Pelham, ON – On Tuesday, September 8, the Meridian Community Centre (MCC) will gradually increase operations by opening the walking track, team benches in both arenas, and furniture in the atrium.

The gradual integration of services at the MCC follows the Province’s and the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association's guidance for facilities for sports and recreational fitness activities during COVID-19.

Municipal buildings closed Labour Day

All Town of Pelham facilities, administrative, and transit services will be closed for Labour Day on Monday, Sept. 7, including:

  • Town Hall
  • Meridian Community Centre
  • Fire and Bylaw administrative services
  • NRT OnDemand

The Niagara Region COVID-19 enforcement line can be reached at 905-984-3690 or 1-877-552-5579 for bylaw response and assistance.

Pelham Ward One voters looking to cast their ballot before Election Day on September 15, 2020, can do so at the first advance poll on Thursday, September 3, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Polls are located at Fire Station #2 (766 Welland Road Fenwick) and Fire Station #3 (2355 Cream Street North Pelham). It is suggested, to ease the number of people at the polls at any given time, that residents with even house numbers cast their ballot at the first advance poll. Waste collection changes starting Oct. 19

Changes to waste collection begins on October 19, 2020. The Town will share further reminders as the date draws nearer. Waste collection is a service provided to Pelham by the Niagara Region. Questions, comments, concerns, and complaints are to be directed to the Niagara Region's Waste Info Line.

Single family homes and apartments with six units or less

Garbage will be collected every-other-week.
