Pelham, ON– Pelham resident and World War II hero Jim Summersides will be the first to drive down Pelham’s newest road: Summersides Boulevard.

On Monday, September 24, at 2 p.m., Summersides, along with family and friends, will officially open the road with a ceremonial drive, ribbon cutting, and street sign unveiling.

Pelham, ON– The Town of Pelham, in conjunction with the Pelham Seniors Advisory Committee, is hosting a free active living fair on Tuesday, September 25, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Meridian Community Centre.

Proxy voting an option for voters to cast their ballot

Niagara voters unable to cast their ballot on Election Day, or attend an Advance Poll, have another option: a voting proxy. A voting proxy is someone who will cast a ballot on another’s behalf in their absence.

To appoint a voting proxy, voters must complete the Appointment for Voting Proxy – Form 3, which can be found at niagaravotes.ca, or can be picked up at your local municipal Clerk’s office during regular business hours, including  Voting Day.

NHL Alumni game admission now free

Bring the whole family down to the Accipiter Arena at the Meridian Community Centre for the FREE NHL Alumni Game on Saturday, September 15, from 6-8 p.m.

Admission to the game is now free of charge. Ticket holders who had purchased tickets prior to the change in admission have been contacted and will be fully refunded. As a thank you for their support and understanding, seats reserved as part of the ticket purchase have been saved. General admission seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
