Pelham residents are concerned for the safety of local longboarders and skateboarders, and Niagara Regional Police confirms there are indeed reasons to worry. Starting in late July, the Pelham Fire Department will distribute combination carbon monoxide and smoke alarms to vulnerable individuals, including families registered with Pelham Cares and those participating in Meals on Wheels.

The Office of the Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, has informed the Town of Pelham that His Honour will be unable to attend scheduled events in Niagara on Friday June 21st due to illness.
