The Pelham Art Festival and Artisan Show and Sale, taking place from May 12-14, is a jury showcase featuring fine art artists and artisans that takes place at the Pelham Arena 1120 Haist Street in Fonthill. It is now entering its 31st year.

Over 70 artists and artisans from Ontario participate, and an estimated 2,000+ visitors attend the exhibition every year. Side by side, established artists and undiscovered talents sell their artwork directly to the public and make lasting connections with patrons...

Wet weather roundup: department of public works combats rainfall challenges

Last week’s bout of wet weather kept the Town of Pelham’s Public Works department busier than usual.

Crews spent much of the week combating some of the issues that arise with heavy rainfall: flooding, sinkholes, edge damage, and debris blocking drainage grates, ditches, and culverts.

Compost giveaway to support local charities May 8 - May 13, 2017

May 8 to May 13 (while quantities last), residents of Niagara region can collect up to 3 bags of compost per household during regular business hours. Each bag of compost is 20 litres in size.

In exchange for the compost, residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items or cash in support of Fort Erie COPE (Community Outreach Program – Erie), Grimsby Benevolent Fund, Goodwill Niagara, and Project Share.
