Junior Firefighter camp promotes teamwork, leadership

For one week Julia Russell and Amie Terreberry shed their given monikers and assumed the persona of Burrito and Fruitbat, respectively; nicknames, after all, are a time-honoured tradition amongst firefighters.

Joined by the likes of SamIAm, Helmet, JackAttack, and others, Burrito and Fruitbat were two of 15 enrolled in the Town of Pelham’s Junior Firefighter camp.

Held at Station 2 in Fenwick, the camp provides kids with an interactive opportunity to learn fire safety and gain insight into the career...

Pelham Town Square from the rear entrance to the Fonthill Plaza to 60 m west 4 - 10 p.m.

FRIDAY

Pelham Town Square entrance off Pelham Street from 7:00 a.m.Friday, July 14, 2017 to noon, Monday, July 17, 2017;

Pelham Street from Regional Road #20 (Hwy 20) to the property line of 1419 Pelham Street from 7:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 16. 2017;

Cankerworm update, with information from the NPCA

Town of Pelham staff have assessed the Town-owned trees in Hillcrest Park through multiple site visits. At this time there is no action being taken, as staff are expecting the trees to recover - reaffirmed by the information provided by NPCA Forester Dan Drennan, R.P.F.

In following these recommendations, staff may consider options for future preventive treatment, in consultation with the NPCA.

Community Co-Design Planned for Pelham Arena Site

Pelham, ON – Pelham residents are being encouraged to reimagine the Pelham Arena site on Haist Street, and to share their ideas at the upcoming community co-design workshops on June 26 & 27, 2017.

With construction of the new community centre, and its taking over of the main arena facilities, the Haist Street arena will be decommissioned; the structural integrity of the building will not permit it to be repurposed.
