Pelham Fire Services reminds everyone to “Change Your Clock, Change Your Smoke Alarm Battery” this weekend as daylight savings time ends on November 3rd.
“Smoke alarms only save lives if they work properly,” said Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner. “Correct smoke alarm installation and maintenance significantly affects the outcome of a fire.”
Smoke alarms are required by law and need to be tested monthly. Smoke alarms more than ten years old need to be fully replaced.

The Town of Pelham Communities in Bloom Committee, in partnership with the Pelham Horticultural Society, is currently looking for public feedback on creating a community garden.
A community garden gives residents the opportunity to rent a plot of land for the season to grow crops. The garden can include flowers, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and so on.
