Multi-Purpose Community Centre Provision Strategy - Status Report

The Town of Pelham is currently conducting an Indoor Multi-Purpose Community Centre Strategy to determine the requirement for an indoor facility comprised of the following components:

  • an indoor pool
  • a fitness facility
  • a gymnasium facility
  • an indoor walking track
  • meeting space and multi-purpose community rooms to accommodate community leisure programs and activities
  • office/administration space for the municipal Recreation, Culture and Wellness department

Fire Safety Tips for the Winter

Pelham Fire Services is reminding residents to please be extra vigilant as you try to keep your home warm during the current frigid temperatures. Extreme wind chills are expected in our area from minus 35 to minus 40 Celsius overnight tonight and into Tuesday morning.

“People need to be careful while heating their homes," Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner said. "Heating equipment is involved in 1 in every 7 reported home fires and 1 in every 6 home fire deaths."

Official Lighting of Pelham's Arches

Residents, businesses, visitors, community groups and holiday enthusiasts are cordially invited to Pelham's Official Arches Lighting Ceremony on Friday December 6th at sunset (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in downtown Fonthill.

Pelham Fire Services is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Fire Prevention Week contests.

For the story contest, the winners are:
