Pelham Names Summersides Boulevard after Decorated WWII Veteran – Encourages Other Developers to Follow Suit

On Monday, February 1, 2016, Pelham Council set precedent by naming a key street in the East Fonthill development “Summersides Boulevard,” after Jim Summersides, a World War II veteran of the elite, joint Canadian-American “First Special Service Force.”

“Council is pleased to award this honour to Jim Summersides, a local hero and respected veteran,” said Mayor Dave Augustyn. “We hope that all developers in Pelham will follow suit and name streets in honour of other local veterans.”

After years of uncertainty and extensive public consultation, Pelham is moving ahead with the reconstruction of the Maple Acre Library Branch in Downtown Fenwick. On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, the Maple Acre Advisory Committee approved Option A as the design for the new library facility.

The Town of Pelham is keeping offices open during the holidays again to continue delivering our residents, businesses and visitors the best possible service year-round. Town offices will operate with regular business hours (8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.) to ensure there is no disruption to services.

Annual Christmas Light Competition - Call for 2015 Nominations

It’s that time of year again to get involved and participate in the Annual Town of Pelham Christmas Light Competition.

The Pelham Beautification Committee is accepting nominations for the Christmas Light Competition until Saturday, December 5, 2015. Nomination forms are available here and at Pelham Town Hall.

All nominations must be within the Pelham boundary and displays need to be visible from the street. Categories for the competition include:
