In order to ensure that consistent customer service is available to Town of Pelham residents, businesses, and visitors, the municipal offices will maintain regular office hours (8:30am – 4:30pm) according to the calendar image.

Pelham Lifts Open Air Burning Ban

After weeks of hot, dry and humid weather conditions, the Town of Pelham has lifted the open air burning ban in place since June 24, 2016.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2016, Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner lifted the open air burning ban because rainfall amounts have sufficiently eliminated the risk of fires burning out of control and quickly spreading to nearby grass and plants. On Monday, Niagara Public Health also lifted the most recent Heat Alert issued for the region.

Niagara Region has issued the following West Nile Virus Safety information for residents:
Warmer temperatures are here, and with them come the onset of West Nile Virus season. Niagara residents and visitors to the area are encouraged to take the following protective measures to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes:

Hydro One Forestry Maintenance Program

Please be advised that Hydro One Forestry Crews will soon start a vegetation maintenance program within the Town of Pelham.
The program will include the removal of non-compatible brush from Pelham right-of-ways, the removal of any danger trees, and the trimming of trees where required. The work will be carried out using both manual and mechanical methods.
The vegetation maintenance program will ensure the safety and reliability of hydro circuits and continued access to hydro plants and equipment.

The Town of Pelham is once again urging customers to be cautious of a possible drinking water scam in the community.
Homeowners have reported being contacted by a door-to-door sales company making false claims about drinking water quality and the need for mandatory in-home filtration or water softening systems. These tests and inspections conducted by the salespeople can be misleading and the results do not represent the quality of the Town’s drinking water.
