Heat warning issued for:
   Niagara, Ont. (046700)

Current details:
Hot and humid conditions expected Wednesday July 26th through Friday July 28th.

Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius. Thursday, while slightly cooler, will be very humid with humidex values in the upper thirties. Friday is expected to be extremely hot with humidex values reaching 40 for many areas. Minimum temperatures in the low twenties will provide little relief from the heat....

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:

   St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region, Ont. (046710)

Current details:
At 11:52 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing pea to dime size hail and heavy rain.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Environment Canada issued Thunderstorm warning July 20, 2023

At 6:11 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and up to toonie size hail.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from Waterloo to 15 kilometres northeast of Rondeau Provincial Park to Morpeth, moving east at 50 km/h.

Hazard: 110 km/h wind gusts and toonie size hail. A tornado is also possible.

Locations impacted include:
Kitchener, St. Thomas, Stratford, Woodstock, Waterloo, Simcoe,...

Temporary Road Closure for Phase 4 Pelham Street Reconstruction Project

Notice of temporary road closure due to Phase 4 of the Pelham Street reconstruction project. Local access will be provided to all residences and businesses.

Where: Pelham Street from the Spruceside Crescent south entrance to the Pelham/Welland boundary.

Why: Road Reconstruction of Pelham Street from Spruceside Crescent south entrance to Pelham/Welland boundary including new sidewalks, watermain, road surface, bike lanes, and drainage improvements.
