The Town of Pelham is proceeding with plans to reconstruct College Street and Emmett Street between Pelham Street and Station Street in Fonthill. The design is to include the full urbanization of College and Emmett Street, complete with curbs and gutters, AODA-compliant sidewalks, new storm sewers, and the replacement of the existing sanitary sewers and water mains. The project is expected to be tendered for construction in 2027 following the substantial completion of the Station Street Reconstruction.

The Town of Pelham's regular council meeting was held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Pelham Municipal Building at 20 Pelham Town Hall.

Temporary Road Closure: Metler Rd between Center St and Effingham St

Notice of Watermain Break on Canboro Road near Maple Street.

What: Watermain Break and Road Closure

Where: Canboro Road in the area between Maple Street and 736 Canboro Road.

When: The road is closed and water is turned off to allow emergency repairs.

Water will be restored as soon as repairs are completed. Repairs are expected to take 4 to 6 hours, and approximately 20 residences are affected.

Please avoid the area while the repairs are completed.

The Town of Pelham will be replacing the existing sewer, completing trench restoration on Foss Road, and tunnelling beneath the CPKC Railway as part of the Foss Road Sewer Replacement Project.
