Burn Ban in Effect
As of August 11, 2025 until further notice
Due to ongoing dry conditions, all open-air burning and fireworks are banned until further notice. This includes campfires, brush burns, burn barrels, chimineas, and agricultural burns.
Only exception: Cooking fires in approved campgrounds, allowed from 12 p.m. – 12 a.m. All fires must be fully extinguished after midnight.
If you see an open-air fire, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Pelham, ON – Effective Tuesday June 13, 2023, Town of Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner has removed the open-air burn ban initially issued on June 7, 2023. Open-air burning and fireworks are permitted in the Town of Pelham following the lifting of the ban.
The Town of Pelham 2023 Final Property Tax bill was mailed out on June 8, 2023. Residents that have not received their final tax bill by June 19 2023, are encouraged to contact the Pelham Tax Department via email at taxes@pelham.ca or by phone at 905-980-6678.

Pelham, ON – Effective Wednesday June 7, 2023, Town of Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner has declared an open-air burn ban due to continued dry conditions and impacts from the smoke plumes from the ongoing forest fires in Quebec and Northeastern Ontario.
