Temporary Road Closure Notice
Where: Station Street, from Summersides Boulevard/Pelham Town Square to Port Robinson Road
Why: To ensure the safety of workers and the public during Stage 2 of the Station Street Reconstruction Project, Station Street will be temporarily closed between Summersides Boulevard/Pelham Town Square and Port Robinson Road.
When: From July 20 to September 21, weather permitting.
Important Information
- The intersection of Station Street and Summersides Boulevard/Pelham Town Square will be opened daily, subject to construction requirements and additional work activities.
- Advance closure signs will be posted for College Street and Emmett Street at Station Street intersection and will be designated local traffic only as part of the traffic management plan.
- The section of Station Street from Highway 20 East to the intersection at Summersides Boulevard/Pelham Town Square will remain accessible. Please note that this area will continue to be part of the active construction zone.
- Vehicular and pedestrian traffic, including school buses, transit buses, and emergency services, will be detoured around the closure.
- Residents directly affected by the construction work will receive additional information from the contractor.
Residents attending the Pelham Summer Chill Series at Peace Park on Thursday evenings are encouraged to use the available shuttle service or access event parking via Meridian Community Centre.
