Temporary Road Closure Notice
Where: Elm Avenue, Burton Avenue, Linden Avenue, and Giles Crescent
When: August 13, 2026
Why: Geotechnical and environmental drilling investigation
Closure Areas:
1. Southern portion of Giles Crescent between Burton Ave and Elm Ave: Temporary access restrictions may be required during drilling expected between 10 am to 12 pm. No residents are expected to be directly affected by this work, and access to the driveways will remain available at all times. Residents of Elm Ave will use Elm Ave to access Pelham St. Residents of Burton Ave will use Burton Ave to access Pelham St.
2. Between 7 and 10 Giles Crescent: During drilling in this area expected between 12 pm to 1 pm, local access will be maintained as follows:
- Residents at 7, 8, and 12 Giles Crescent should access their properties via Burton Avenue.
- Residents at 10, 16, and 20 Giles Crescent should access their properties via Linden Avenue.
Through traffic on Giles Crescent may be temporarily affected while equipment is positioned and drilling is performed. These disruptions will be limited to the shortest practical duration, and access will be restored promptly once it is safe to do so.
