Pelham Specialty Camps bring unique experiences to summer camp
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 3, 2025
Pelham, ON - The Town of Pelham is excited to offer 2025 specialty camps for senior campers aged five and up. Specialty camps run during select weeks between June 30 and August 29 and include Skate & Scooter Camp, Little Medical School, Multi-Sport Camp, and Music Camp. With most general day camp weeks already full in Pelham, these themed programs provide families with an excellent alternative for engaging and high-quality summer experiences.
Two of this year’s specialty camps are delivered in partnership with expert providers. The Skate & Scooter Camp, offered in partnership with Evolve Camps, brings action-packed fun for campers of all skill levels. Youth will build confidence, learn new tricks, and participate in engaging games and group activities led by professional coaches in a safe and inclusive setting. Little Medical School® introduces campers to the fascinating world of healthcare through hands-on lessons using real medical tools. Children will explore roles such as doctors, veterinarians, and first responders through interactive and age-appropriate programming designed to spark curiosity.
“Combined with the creativity and dedication of our Town staff-led camps, this summer’s specialty offerings are designed to give children a fun and enriching camp experience,” ,” said Vickie vanRavenswaay, Director of Recreation, Culture, and Wellness. “The new partnership with specialized organizations like Little Medical School and Evolve Camps bring additional unique and high-quality programming to the Pelham camp experience.”
The Town is also offering specialty camps led by the Pelham’s certified and creative camp staff. Multi-Sport Camp provides an active and energetic environment where campers can try a variety of sports such as soccer, baseball, tennis, pickleball, and more while developing teamwork and athletic skills. Music Camp, held at Old Pelham Town Hall, encourages children to discover musical concepts through singing, rhythm games, and instrument play. Campers will also enjoy a weekly day trip alongside the general day camp and can take part in an optional lunch program.
Specialty camps operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended care available for select camps. Families in financial need may apply for support through Pelham Cares, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
