Construction-Related Sidewalk Closures

Port Robinson Road Sidewalk Closure

The sidewalk on the south side of Port Robinson Road between Klager and Station Street will be temporarily closed to all pedestrian traffic while construction activities are underway.

Please follow all posted signage and use the designated pedestrian detour route by using the sidewalk located on the north side of Station Street.

Station Street Sidewalk Closure

The sidewalk along Station Street between Highway 20 East and Port Robinson Road will be temporarily closed to all pedestrian traffic while construction activities are underway. This is to ensure the safety of all pedestrians.

Please follow all posted signage and use the designated pedestrian detour route via Summersides Boulevard and Pelham Town Square. This detour route has been marked to ensure to pedestrians can travel safely around the work area. 

To keep pedestrians informed, "Sidewalk Closed Ahead" signs have been installed at locations near the street closure including:

• Station Street and College Street
• Station Street and Emmett Street

Access to adjacent properties will be maintained where possible; however, temporary restrictions or minor delays may be encountered during construction activities.

Anticipated Sidewalk Reopening

Construction activities are progressing as planned, and the sidewalk along Station Street between Highway 20 East and Summersides Boulevard is anticipated to reopen to pedestrian traffic the week of September 14.

This timeline is subject to weather conditions and construction progress. Additional updates will be provided should the schedule change.

General Safety Reminders

Pedestrians traveling near active construction zones are reminded to:

• Follow all construction signage, barriers, and directions provided on-site
• Use designated crosswalks and approved pedestrian detour routes
• Do not enter fenced, restricted, or active construction areas
• Exercise caution and remain alert when walking near construction operations
