Beginner Learn to Skate

It's never too late to learn to skate! Learn various skills involving moving forward and backward, gliding, stopping, turning and developing endurance during this instructor-led program 

April 2-May 7 | 6 weeks | Thursday 2:00-2:50pm | $52.00

CSA approved helmet is REQUIRED. Please be advised that we do not loan helmets at this time. This program is 18+.

Drop-in fee: $6 per person

Full equipment including a CSA approved helmet is required for children. Adults are required to wear a helmet, gloves and skates. Please bring own equipment including pucks.

 Stick & Puck Rules:

• Full equipment including a CSA approved helmet is required for children.

• Adults are required to wear a helmet, gloves and skates.

• Please bring own equipment including pucks.  

• Maximum two children per adult
• Parents or caregivers must be 18 years of age or older and are required to directly supervisor their child on the ice at all times
• Slap shots and organized games or practices are not permitted
• Profanity and improper behaviour is not be permitted
• All accidents or injuries must be reported to arena staff members immediately
• No headsets, cell phones, or handheld electronic devices permitted while skating
• All participants must wear skates while on the ice surface

Fee: $6 (Goalies are free)

Improve women’s hockey skills in a fun, positive and inclusive environment. The focus will be on skating, puck handling and shooting skills and will include group work.

Full equipment including a CSA approved helmet is required. Full hockey equipment is required (including CSA approved helmet and hockey stick)

Monday 9:45-10:45am

Drop-in Fee: $6 | Combine your Skills & Drills experience with shinny. Monday combo is $10 per session.
