Veterans Bench Dedication
The Town of Pelham and members of Royal Canadian Branch #613 gathered on Tuesday November 4, 2025, to officially dedicate newly installed benches in Pelham. The benches located at the Meridian Community Centre and in Fenwick at the intersection of Canboro and Welland Road, were installed as a year-round reminder of the sacrifice, courage, and commitment of Veterans.
"As we dedicate this bench, we also pay tribute to the incredible work of our local Legion and its members. Their tireless efforts, from supporting Veterans and their families, to educating future generations about remembrance, continue to strengthen our community. Their commitment ensures that the spirit of service and gratitude endures, not just during Veterans week, but every day of the year.” Marvin Junkin, Mayor
The red benches have a dedication plaque on them that reads “Dedicated to all of those who have stood up, raised their hand, and said ‘yes’ when called upon. Thank you to all of Canada’s veterans and those who continue to serve. We will remember.”
