The Town of Pelham's July 1st planning group is excited to welcome everyone to Harold Black Park for the Party in the Park!

At 3:00pm, the Grand Parade will travel down Haist Street from A.K. Wigg School to Harold Black Park. Following the parade, community members will enjoy a welcome ceremony, free family activities, and an entertainment stage featuring local talent.

Free Public Swim is also available at the Town of Pelham Pool from 1 pm to 4 pm. 

The Town of Pelham is pleased to offer a free family-friendly event with children’s activities, local food, artisan, and community group vendors, live entertainment on stage, capping the evening off with a fireworks show!

2025 Entertainment:

3:00 PM to 7:00 PM - Rotary Club of Fonthill Children's Area bouncers, face painting, balloon twisting & more!

3:00 PM Haist Street Parade begins from A.K. Wigg School down Haist Street to Harold Black Park

3:00 PM to 10:00PM - Local Food, Artisan, and Community Group Vendor Market. Food Concession run by the Fonthill Lions Club.

3:30 PM to 4:45PM - Jimmy Marando Swing Band

5:00 to 5:15 PM - Welcome Ceremony

5:15PM to 6:30PM - The Walkmen

6:45PM to 8:00PM - Max Life Crisis

8:15PM to 10:00PM - The Chimps

10:00 PM - Fireworks!

In addition to the above activities, a Free Public Swim is also available at the Town of Pelham Pool.

The Rotary Club of Fonthill will be sponsoring the Kids Zone at Harold Black Park!

The Kids Zone will be running from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Experience a unique and engaging atmosphere where children of all ages can enjoy a variety of fun activities and entertainment.

3:00PM - 7:00PM - Facepainting, Inflatables, Sandtastic Art, Sno-Cones, Lawn Games, bubbles & more!

4:00PM - 7:00PM - Balloon Twisting 

3:00PM -7:00PM - Paint a Snow Plow - Hosted by the Pelham Cultural Advisory Committee 

Join us for our Canada Day Celebration and be captivated by the magic of the fireworks, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Come and experience it! 

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to take in the display from the fields at Harold Black Park.

Fireworks will be set off in the rear field at Harold Black Park at 10:00pm. The display is best viewed from the park area. 

Elements of the display may also be visible from surrounding streets. 

Community members will also collect additional donations at the gate for the Fireworks display. 

Residents are encouraged to walk or bike, as there is limited accessible parking only.

The parade begins at A.K. Wigg School on Haist street at 3:00 p.m. and proceeds down to Harold Black Park.

The Canada Day Working Group would like to invite community groups, schools, sport groups, businesses, music groups, and volunteer organizations to submit applications to enter floats, performance groups, or walking groups for the parade. Each float in the parade will be judged by the Town of Pelham community. Prizes will be awarded to the top three floats that best capture and celebrate the true spirit of Canada. Voting will close on July 7th. 

Outlined in the application are rules, regulations, and other important information pertaining to the parade. Please read these carefully to ensure that you can abide by all the regulations before you complete and return your application.

Canada Day celebrations will continue this year with unique elements to showcase our Canadian Pride! So dust off the decorations, find all the red and white you have to create a Canada Day display and help our community celebrate!

Contest Terms and Conditions:

  1. One entry per participant. Open to Town of Pelham residents ages 14 and under.
  2. All photo entries must be a clear image and show the decorated home. Families are encouraged to be in the photo!
  3. All entrants understand and agree that their submissions and first names, may be used in the promotion of this and future events.
  4. Duplicate entries will not be permitted.
  5. Late entries will not be accepted. Entries close July 4, 2025 at 11:59pm.
  6. Winners will be randomly drawn from all completed entries. Draw will take place July 4th, 2024 at 3:00pm, in the Town of Pelham. 
  7. Winners will be notified by email.
  8. Prize has no cash value and can not be substituted or transferred.
