Camps & Youth Programs

The Town of Pelham is dedicated to providing a safe, exciting, and FUN camp experience for all campers. Youth can choose between Winter Break, PD Day, March Break or Summer Camps!  The Town of Pelham also offers a variety of children and youth activities throughout the year.

RoboThink offers fun & educational robotics, STEM and coding programs to children! We go beyond robotics, fostering self-confidence, technical mastery, creativity, and spatial awareness. Join us for a journey of fun and endless STEM learning possibilities!

 

Zumbini® is an early childhood education program that uses original music and movement to promote cognitive, social, fine/gross motor skills, and emotional development for children ages 0 – 6, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for little ones and their caregiver.

 

Little Medical School offers creative opportunities for kids to learn and explore the exciting world of heath and careers in medicine for children ages 3-12! Children will roleplay, learn and explore a variety of careers in the medical field in programs including Little Veterinarian, Forensic CSI, Little Doctor and Future Physicians!

Upcoming Programs

This program allows families to come to the Meridian Community Centre for family gym time and physical activity! During this time, families are encouraged to get active, shoot hoops and have fun together!  Basketball nets will be accessible for use.


Program fee: Youth- $3.50 | Adults- $6 or Activity Punch Pass $100 for 20 visits | All children must be supervised during this drop-in program

Wednesday 4:00-5:30 pm (Starting October 1)

*Please note: From September 1 to 22, 2025, the gymnasium floors will be undergoing needed maintenance. All gymnasium programming is suspended during this time.

Sing, move and play! Children are introduced to music and movement concepts through songs and games. Together we will explore pitch, tempo, and timbre, learn respect for instruments and each other, and of course, get up and move, move, move. Classes will always have an emphasis on movement and play and have age-appropriate expectations for all children.

This class has a primary focus on ages 3 -6, however younger siblings, from birth, are welcome.


2025 Fall Schedule

Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 am (Starting September 11) at the Meridian Community Centre.

Cost: Children $3.50.  Parent/Guardian - Free.

One parent/guardian required per family. 

Little Veterinarian: The ABCs of Dog Care

After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dogs.

STEM Sleuths: Forensic CSIs

STEM SLEUTHS is a 6-hour course that exposes students to the forensic science used to solve a crime. Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints, chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis. The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a crime.

Little Doctor: Medical Marvels 

Our youngest future doctors will use a real stethoscope and other medical instruments, learn how muscles and nerves work together, cast a broken bone, and properly scrub their hands before surgery.

Little Doctor: Future Physicians (Part 1) 

Section I: Basic anatomy, medical instruments, and prepping for surgery. Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon.

Town of Pelham - YOUth Matter

The mission of the Town of Pelham's Mayor's Youth Advisory Collective (MYAC) Working Group is to provide a communication link between the youth of Pelham and the Pelham Town Council. The needs of the youth may be addressed and action can be taken to enrich the quality of life, health and well-being of youth in our community.

Becoming a MYAC Member

Applications for the 2025/2026 term are now closed. Applications for the 2026/2027 term will open in June 2026.

All applicants must be youth in grades 6-12 who live or go to school in Pelham.

When Do We Meet?

MYAC meets regularly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. from September through to June.  Meetings may be subject to change due to conflict with school or holiday schedules.

Kinder Music Theatre

For the kinder who's always dressing up, dancing around, and singing along with their favourite soundtracks! Come channel that creative energy in this introductory music theatre class with Amelia. Students will learn healthy singing techniques, drama skills, stage etiquette, and more, all while learning familiar songs and working toward a final performance. No previous experience required.

Ages 4-6

Primary Music Theatre

Come develop triple-threat skills in this music theatre class for primary students. Amelia’s classes will feature skill-building games and activities while working towards a final performance. Students will learn performance fundamentals in singing (solo and group), acting, dancing, stage etiquette, and more, all while building their confidence and working together as a team.

Junior Music Theatre 

Calling all drama kids! Dive deeper into the world of performing arts with Amelia’s Junior music theatre class. Though no experience is required, students will be challenged to develop confident performance skills and work collaboratively towards a final showcase. Students will learn healthy singing technique, stage etiquette, drama skills, and more.

Ages 9-12

PD Day Camp runs from 9am-4pm at the Meridian Community Centre and include activities such as games, crafts, gym time and more! Additionally, campers will be walking to local parks alongside the counsellors.

Battle Robots (8 weeks)

Can you build the strongest and most agile robot? Can your robot win a head-to-head combat mission? Learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using unique RoboThink bricks, and then apply that knowledge to build multiple robots for a variety of friendly competitions. You will have a blast as you play robot soccer, compete in robot replay races, and complete dozens of other fun challenges in this fun robotics program.

With parents being just as busy as Santa's Elves this time of year, this is the perfect opportunity to get your last minute shopping done as the holidays quickly approach! Bring your children to the Meridian Community Centre for a night of crafts, movies, popcorn and holiday spirit! With Pizza for dinner, your child will have a night of fun while you get your shopping done!

Various stations will be set up in the gymnasium to allow for Tots to play and explore at their own pace.  Equipment provided includes Toys, Walker, Tricycle, Play Mats, Parachute, Soccer nets, Balls, Tent and more!

This program is for Parents/Grandparents/Guardians and children aged 5 and under, to take part in physical activity in the Meridian Community Centre Gymnasium.


Fall Schedule (Starting September 23)- Tuesday 10am - 12pm

Cost: Children $3.50 youth aged 5 and under.  Parent/Guardian - Free. 

All children must be supervised for this drop in program, no instruction is provided.  

Join us at the Meridian Community Centre for a camp filled with holiday crafts and activities! The group will have ice and gym time, and will be joined by special guests throughout the week! This camp takes place from 9am-4pm. Please note, there are 2 separate registrations depending on which camp dates are required!
