The annual Pelham Winterfest Market will be returning to Downtown Fonthill on Friday, December 5, from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Vendor applications will be available on October 1 and will close on November 3.
Canada Post Strike Action
Due to the strike action by Canada Post postal workers, mailings for Town of Pelham residents, suppliers and customers will be impacted.
Town of Pelham property owners and residents are responsible for property tax and water payments.
Water Bills: The Town of Pelham’s bi-monthly water bills from July to August, were mailed to residents using Canada Post earlier in September. Residents should have received this bill prior to the current strike action.
The payment due date is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Payments can be made:
Regular penalties for late payments will apply.
Pre-Authorized Payment: Pre-authorized automatic withdrawal payment plans offer an easy, hassle-free payment option. Payments are always made on-time, avoiding any late payment charges and residents do not have to wait in line to make payments. There are no administration fees or charges by the Town to join any of these plans. To enroll in a pre-authorized payment plan, please visit www.pelham.ca/pap to review the terms and conditions and complete the application form.
Property Tax: Property tax reminders are typically mailed to owners in December. Residents can reach out to the Property Tax Team to inquire about any unpaid balances at taxes@pelham.ca.
Accounts Payable: For any vendor receiving cheque payments delivered by mail, there are expected delays in receiving reimbursement. Vendors may collect their cheques in person by providing valid identification at the time of pickup at Town Hall. Vendors can also enroll in EFT payment to receive payment more efficiently by contacting accountspayable@pelham.ca.
The Town is working to update all impacted addresses from the Canada Post postal code change for all Town accounts. Town staff will update postal codes for water billing, taxes, and accounts payable for impacted residents, no action is required by the homeowner. For a checklist designed to aid residents in updating their addresses elsewhere, click the "Postal Code Changes" text to be directed to the Resident Resources page.

🎅 Letters to Santa! Handwritten or Digital!
To help the big man in the red suit get messages from all the boys and girls in Pelham, the Town’s Recreation, Culture, and Wellness staff are working with Santa’s elves to get all the children of Pelham letters to the North Pole.
There are two ways the Town has teamed up with the elves to get your letter to Santa:
In person: Meridian Community Centre, 100 Meridian Way, Fonthill, ON
Starting December 1, you’ll see a red mailbox marked “Santa’s Mailbox” near the Christmas tree through the main entrance. Drop your letter in the mailbox by Friday, December 12, 2025 to ensure Santa has enough time to get you his response. Don’t forget to include your return address!
Email: The Town of Pelham has worked out an arrangement to provide Santa with his own Pelham email address.
For quick and easy letter submissions, you can email Santa your letter to sclaus@pelham.ca. Santa will be checking his email right up until Wednesday, December 17, 2025 before he heads out on his Christmas route!
