Pelham Gateway Public Art Options

The Town of Pelham issued a Call to Public Artists in January 2016 to design, produce and oversee the installation of a public art commission. The outdoor installation is to be installed near the south-east corner of Regional Road 20 and Rice Road, in the East Fonthill Mixed-Use Centre, to act as a gateway to the Town.

Twenty five submissions for qualifications were received from both local and international public artists including those based in Spain, California, Colorado, Texas, Philidelphia, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, London and Burlington.

Through a review and evaluation process by a Town appointed Public Art Selection Panel, three finalists were shortlisted.
