The Office of the Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, has informed the Town of Pelham that His Honour will be unable to attend scheduled events in Niagara on Friday June 21st due to illness.
On the Lieutenant Governor’s itinerary for the day was a visit to Pelham’s Centennial Park where a tour of the Town’s fully accessible playground was planned. His Honour was also set to meet-and-greet with the 613 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps and the Fabulous Fenwick Lions during their bi-weekly Fish Fry.
“We offer the Lieutenant Governor our best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery,” said Mayor Dave Augustyn. “We are pleased the visit will be rescheduled and look forward to welcoming His Honour to Pelham soon.”
The Lieutenant Governor hopes to reschedule his Niagara appearances for later on in the summer.
