Please also be advised that Canboro Road in Downtown Fenwick will be closed from 3:00 p.m. on July 11, 2015 until 1:00 a.m. on July 12, 2015 for the event.

Downtown Fenwick Revitalization Facts
- In 2013 — the 160th Anniversary of Fenwick— Council approved the start of the revitalization of Downtown Fenwick, including improvements to help make the area more pedestrian friendly, bury hydro lines, and enhance the historic flagpole.
- In May 2013, Council officially designated the Fenwick Flagpole as a significant heritage structure – the first and only flagpole so designated in Ontario.
- In December 2013, the community participated in an Open House to provide feedback on the construction’s final design.
- In 2014, Council approved the multi-million dollar project and work began during the late-summer.
- In April and May 2015, the contractor finished the brickwork and installed 195 engraved, community bricks, constructed sidewalks and curbs, installed lampposts, removed the hydro poles, sodded and landscaped, and added a top coat of asphalt. These finishing touches should be completed by the of the summer.
