Carbon Monoxide Alarms Now Required in Homes

Pelham Fire Services is reminding everyone that as of April 15, 2015 carbon monoxide alarms are required in your home if you have a fuel-burning appliance, a fireplace or an attached garage.
“If your home has a fuel-burning appliance, a fireplace or an attached garage, you must have a working CO alarm adjacent to each sleeping area of the home,” said Pelham Fire Chief Bob Lymburner. “For added protection, install a carbon monoxide alarm on every storey of the home according to manufacturer’s instructions.”...
Town of Pelham and YMCA of Niagara to Explore Potential Service Partnership

In the spirit of goodwill, the Town of Pelham and YMCA of Niagara are supporting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the viability of a service partnership for recreational and family programs in a potential multi-faceted community centre. The facility would be in East Fonthill on the Town-owned lands along Rice Road at Regional Road 20.

The Town of Pelham is pleased to receive a 2014 Niagara Community Design Award in Urban Design and Architecture for the East Fonthill Secondary Plan and Urban Design Guidelines.
Pelham received top honours in the Policy & Plans Category. The documents outline the detailed policies and guidelines for growth and development in the East Fonthill area at Regional Road 20 along Rice Road to south of Merritt Road.
