Notice of temporary road closures due to downed trees and tree limbs.

Please be advised of the following temporary road closures.

Where: 

  • Balfour Road near #1367 Balfour
  • Memorial Drive near #760 Memorial
  • Baxter Lane
  • Welland Road at Baxter Lane

Why: Trees and/or limbs has fallen across the roadway.

When: Saturday July 1 at approximately 4:00pm the weather system came through the area with increased wind and rain in the area of Highway #20 to Welland Road between Balfour and Maple. The roadway will reopen...

2023 Canada Day Event and Closures

On July 1, 2023, a Canada Day Celebration will take place in Harold Black Park. 

The Town of Pelham is pleased to offer a free family-friendly event with children’s activities, local food, artisan, and community group vendors, live entertainment on stage and a fireworks display. 

At 4:00pm, the Grand Parade will travel down Haist Street from A.K. Wigg School to the Harold Black Park.

Temporary Road Closure on Pelham Street due to tree limb June 27, 2023

Notice of temporary road closure due to downed tree limb.

Please be advised of the following road closure on Pelham Street.

Where: Near the intersection of Pelham Street and Port Robinson Road.

Why: Tree limb has fallen across the roadway.

When: Thursday June 27. A team has been dispatched to remove the downed limb and clear the roadway. The roadway will reopen as soon as debris can be moved from the live traffic lanes. 

Alternate Route: Please use an alternate route.

Current details:
Conditions will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds today.

These types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms. This weak rotation is normally not a danger near the ground. However, there is a chance that this rotation could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado.
