Notice of Public Meeting Regarding a Proposed Street Name Change:Lymburner Street to Acacia Road
A public meeting will be held at Town of Pelham Council Chambers on January 14, 2019 at 6:30 pm regarding a proposed street name change from Lymburner Street to Acacia Road. A statement from Mayor Marvin Junkin on the passing of Gerry Berkhout:
I, along with members of Council and town staff, am saddened to hear of the passing of Gerry Berkhout.
Mr. Berkhout was a community-driven individual, focused on enhancing our Town for everyone to enjoy. A former Town Councillor (1998-2003), Fonthill Lions member, citizen of the year, and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Mr. Berkhout served his community with passion and dedication. He will be missed by many.

Council reflects on first meeting around the horseshoe

For the first time, on December 17, 2018, the newly elected Pelham Town Council took their seats around the horseshoe.
With inauguration in the rear view, Council’s first decisions reflected much of what was heard on the campaign trail leading into this October’s election: fiscal responsibility.
First up, potential changes to Council salaries – subsequently 2019 operating budget – as a result of new changes in effect in the New Year.

Make a note on your calendar for any waste collection deferrals that may occur in your area. The Niagara Region has outline their waste collection shcedule with deferral days due to the holiday. Also included is information on exemptions and Christmas tree collection.
