Gypsy Moth open house

Residents are invited to an open house hosted by Paul Robertson of Trees Unlimited on Sunday, March 17, from 12-5 p.m. at Old Pelham Town Hall (491 Canboro Road).

The open house will feature information about gypsy moth and spray applications used by Trees unlimited.

This is not a Town-organized open house and all questions resulting from the Open House are to be directed to Paul Robertson.

Town of Pelham receives $125,000 Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program grant

March 11, 2019

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham has received $125,000 in funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) Climate change staff grants initiative, part of the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program (MCIP).

The Town will use this funding to support a Climate Change Coordinator position, responsible for researching and recommending institutional and operational changes and providing oversight on the climate mitigation/adaption plan.

Survey results: 1120 Haist Street property

The results from the public survey closing Monday March 4, on the whether the Town should sell or retain a portion of the Haist Street property, are now in.

Nine hundred and three responses were provided with 769 (85.16%) voting in favour of selling portions of the land and 134 (14.84%) voting to retain portions of the land.

Last day to fill out Pelham Arena lands survey

For the last two weeks the Town of Pelham has sought resident input on the sale/retention of 1120 Haist Street - the old Pelham Arena lands.

There will be no change to the locations of existing parkland, paddle tennis club, playground equipment, and wooded area along the west side; these areas will all be retained by the Town. Only the area currently occupied by the arena building, parking area, outside storage/works area, and multi-purpose court is under consideration.
