Watermain Break: Pelham Street between Hurricane Road and Shorthill Place

Town crews are working to fix a watermain break on Pelham Street between Hurricane Road and Shorthill Place; water is temporarily interrupted in the area as a result.
Once the watermain is repaired, water will be restored.

Please be advised of the following road closure
WHERE: 1334 Pelham Street
WHAT: Sanitary sewer extension, watermain connection
WHEN: Thursday, November 28 to Monday, December 2
NOTES: Southbound lane on Pelham Street south of Port Robinson Road between 1336 and 1332 Pelham Street will be closed during working hours. Traffic will be reduced down to 1 lane during this time. Both lanes will be open outside of working hours and over the weekend.

UPDATE - 2:11 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019
The gas leak at a home on Haist Street between Pancake Lane and Bigelow Crescent has been cleared. The scene has been turned over to Enbridge for repair.
The area has been deemed safe and there is no threat to public safety; anyone who was evacuated earlier this morning may return to their home.
Thank you to everyone for their cooperation and assistance during this time.

Pelham, ON – At approximately 10:06 a.m. this morning, the Pelham Fire Department was notified of a gas leak at a residential property on Haist Street between Pancake Lane and Bigelow Crescent.
The gas has been shut off and contained within the home, however the Pelham Fire Department remains on scene while crews from Enbridge assess the situation.
