Town of Pelham long weekend services and reminders

A reminder to Pelham residents that all municipal buildings are closed, and on Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13, Town administrative operations will be closed for the Easter holiday. Emails and phone calls can be expected to be returned beginning Tuesday, April 14. Staff continue to be available to provide services to residents during regular working hours 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, save and except holidays.

Summersides Mews 

Council heard from Drew Toth and his team regarding the Summersides Mews development, a parcel of land near the community centre, on Wellspring Way and Summersides Boulevard. 

Council had previously discussed the parking situation for the development, questioning whether the 61 onsite parking spaces and the 17 curbside stalls were adequate, given the belief that drivers would use the MCC parking lot instead.

Pelham transit shifts to Dial-a-Ride service only during COVID-19 pandemic

Beginning Tuesday April 14, 2020, Pelham Transit will operate as a Dial-a-Ride service until further notice. This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dial-a-ride service is available 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Town of Pelham encourages all residents to stay home, however, if riders need to get to medical appointments, places of employment, or the grocery store, Pelham Transit is available. Public Health enhances data reporting on COVID-19 website

​Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services has enhanced the data section of its COVID-19 website​. Visitors will now see a number of additional statistics, including demographic information like age, the proportion of cases in retirement and long-term care homes, and number of deaths related to COVID-19. Public Health will continue to release additional statistics as new data trends become apparent, and as numbers allow sufficient reliability and anonymity.
