Summer program registration open for wait list; start dates still undetermined

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham’s camp and swim programs are open for waitlist registration, with spots being reserved at this time on a first come, first serve basis; program fees will not be collected at this time, but upon confirmation of program start dates.

Proposed Cannabis Policies and Regulations for the Town of Pelham

The Town of Pelham Cannabis Control Committee is requesting comments on its proposed amendments to the Official Plan (File no. OP-AM-01-19) and Zoning By-law (File no. AM-07-19) under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, with respect to cannabis production within the Town.

Lathrop Nature Preserve now closed

Please be advised the Lathrop Nature Preserve is now closed.

Signs have been posted at trail entry points. Other trails within the Town that are not marked as closed are available for passive use (walking, jogging, biking); residents are reminded that when using the trails or out in the community, to keep a distance of 2 metres (approximately 6 feet) and to wash your hands when returning home.

Niagara Region postpones curbside battery collection due to COVID-19

Niagara Region is postponing its annual curbside battery collection, which had been scheduled for April 20 to 24, due to COVID-19. Residents are encouraged to keep their batteries until a new date is announced.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Niagara Region has made several temporary changes to curbside waste collection to allow collection staff from Emterra and Canadian Waste Management to continue to focus on core services.
