Grant funding puts Steve Bauer Trail paving into gear

Pelham, ON –The Steve Bauer trail, between Line Avenue and Port Robinson Road, will be hard-surfaced by the end of this year, providing a more physically and geographically accessible trail system.

In 2017, as part of a Provincial incentive to improve cycling infrastructure, the Province of Ontario created the Ontario Municipal Commuter Cycling (OMCC) grant program to help fund capital works projects for municipalities to improve cycling in their community.

Pelham, ON - On July 13, 2020, Town of Pelham Council passed bylaws to amend the Official Plan and the Zoning Bylaw as they pertain to cannabis operations within the town.

Pelham, ON – The Accipiter Arena in Pelham’s Meridian Community Centre will have ice available for rental beginning July 27.

A result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and regularly scheduled program and activity cancellations, the Accipiter Arena is getting its ice months before it would normally be made; demand for ice time within the Niagara Region fueled the decision to open the second pad at the MCC.

Charlie and Lynn Johnson at 1328 Haist Street, Fonthill, are the most recent recipients for the Pelham Beautification Committee’s ‘Thank You Card’ initiative.
