Please be advised that Hydro One Forestry Crews will soon start a vegetation maintenance program within the Town of Pelham.
The program will include the removal of non-compatible brush from Pelham right-of-ways, the removal of any danger trees, and the trimming of trees where required. The work will be carried out using both manual and mechanical methods.
The vegetation maintenance program will ensure the safety and reliability of hydro circuits and continued access to hydro plants and equipment.

The Town of Pelham is once again urging customers to be cautious of a possible drinking water scam in the community.
Homeowners have reported being contacted by a door-to-door sales company making false claims about drinking water quality and the need for mandatory in-home filtration or water softening systems. These tests and inspections conducted by the salespeople can be misleading and the results do not represent the quality of the Town’s drinking water.

Several devastating barn fires have occurred in Canada during the past two weeks, resulting in a massive loss of animal life and millions of dollars’ worth of property damage. Two separate fires claimed the lives of 56 horses, another killed around 500 goats and 30 cattle, while yet another killed approximately 2,000 pigs.
NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) is introducing a new barn fire safety checklist as a resource to prevent more tragedies.

ATTENTION TRANSIT PASSENGERS
Effective June 3, 2017, the Pelham Transit's Sobeys Stop, located east of the Fonthill Sobeys front entrance, is resumed.
As a result, roadside bus stops on Highway 20 (eastbound and westbound) in front of the property will no longer be in use. We are pleased to resume this door-to-door service to our transit users and to the business.
