Town of Pelham receives $125,000 Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program grant

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham has received $125,000 in funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) Climate change staff grants initiative, part of the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program (MCIP).

The Town will use this funding to support a Climate Change Coordinator position, responsible for researching and recommending institutional and operational changes and providing oversight on the climate mitigation/adaption plan.

Pelham, ON – For the fifth time in as many years, Pelham’s marquee summer showcase, Summerfest, is a Festival & Events Ontario (FEO) top-100 festival and event.

Pelham, ON – Free family fun is scheduled for Pelham’s Family Day activities, Monday, February 18, at the Meridian Community Centre.

The community centre & walking track will operate special holiday hours, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Family Day, with free activities beginning at 11 a.m.

  • Free public skate 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

CAO no longer employed by Town of Pelham

Pelham, ON – Effective Monday, January 28, 2019, Darren Ottaway is no longer employed as the Town of Pelham’s CAO.

Mr. Ottaway served as Pelham’s CAO from May 2012- January 2019.

As per the Town’s corporate policy S600-30, the treasurer and director of corporate services, Teresa Quinlin, will assume the duties of the CAO in the interim.

The Town thanks Mr. Ottaway for his services and wishes him good fortune in future endeavours.
