Pelham, ON – For the third time, Niagara’s Top 40 Under Forty awards have recognized a Town of Pelham staff member. One of Niagara’s most prestigious awards, the 40 Under Forty, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary level of success in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. The 2024 recipient from the Town of Pelham is Brilee Sears, who joined the team in 2023 as a grant specialist.

Meridian Community Centre Programming Update Following Transformer Fire

Pelham, ON –
On Thursday, April 4, 2024, a transformer located outside of the Meridian Community Centre caught fire, leading to an evacuation of the building and a loss of power. No one was injured during the incident.
A generator has been acquired and is providing power to a portion of the building, including the front desk, gyms, some of the community rooms and staff offices.

The strategic use of town-owned lands was an action item identified by Council in the 2023-2027 Town Strategic Plan.
