January 20th 2012 - The Short Hills Fire & Rescue Association today received a cheque for $9700 from Enbridge Pipelines, Inc.
The funds are received through Enbridge's Safe Community Program designed to support emergency response operations. The funds will be used to fit the Kubota, the RTV running out of Station 3 on Sixteen Road, with a method to secure the Stokes basket and medical supplies in the back of the vehicle, and scene lighting. The Kubota is mainly intended for rescue operations in areas such as Shorthills Provinical Park or on large properties such as farmers' fields and wooded lots with limited or no access by road.
