Contact the Engineering Division regarding the following services:
Water Quality Issues:
Questions regarding water quality; i.e. provision of potable water, municipal lead testing program, water quality and connection to municipal water system.
Drinking Water Quality Management System Operation Plan:
A copy of the Operational Plan for the Drinking Water Quality Management System is available for viewing by the public in the Community and Infrastructure Services Department at the Town of Pelham Municipal Building,
Sanitary Sewer Issues:
Questions regarding sanitary sewers; i.e. backup of sanitary sewer into a residence; connection to municipal sanitary sewers.
Drainage Issues:
Questions or comments regarding residential drainage issues; flooding, water ponding within the municipal road allowances.
Street Light Outages:
To report a problem with a street light; i.e. outages, flickering off & on. Reports are forwarded to Niagara Peninsula Energy weekly for maintenance the following week.
Special Events Permits:
To apply for a Special Event Permit for an event such as; a parade, bicycle race, running event, walk-a-thon, filming, street festivities, sidewalk sale, road use, etc.
Road Occupancy Permits:
To apply for a Road Occupancy Permit; prior to commencing any works involving open-cut excavation or boring within a municipal road allowance where work involves the obstruction of pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic.
Access to Private Property from Municipally Owned Public Lands:
To apply for a permit for access by individuals and contractors on municipally owned public lands including, but not limited to parks, walkways, unopened road allowances and storm water detention ponds for the purpose of construction type activities on adjacent private lands.
Fonthill and Hillside Cemeteries:
For information regarding the following; purchase of cemetery plot(s); opening and closing for interments; transfer of ownership of cemetery plot(s); location of interments.
Crossing Guards:
To request information regarding becoming a Crossing Guard.
Municipal Drains:
Questions regarding the maintenance of Municipal Drains are to be directed to Drainage Superintendent at 905-899-3463.
